The Tata Tiago price starts at ₹4.70 lakh and goes up to ₹8.55 lakh (ex-showroom). On May 28, 2026, Tata gave the Tiago a new look, a larger touchscreen, and an expanded list of features. It continues to be powered by the same 1.2 litre petrol and CNG engines.This car is designed for the middle class Indian family that seeks a safe, easy to drive hatchback for their daily commute to work and weekend getaways. It is suitable for bumper-to-bumper city driving and for short trips on the highway. Prices are ex-showroom, Delhi and change city to city. The on-road price budget should always be confirmed with your local Tata dealer before booking, as RTO, insurance, and additional charges will be 12-15 per cent above the ex-showroom price.
The Tiago wins hands down on safety. The WagonR is the winner in terms of boot space and cabin room. The Celerio is the winner in terms of fuel economy. Choose based on the needs of your family, not the lowest on-road price budget.

Beyond the spec sheet, here are some important insights every buyer should know.The engine still vibrates at idle: Owners on Team-BHP and Quora report gear lever vibration and engine shake at start-up, this is a 3-cylinder motor. Tata has not made any changes to the engine, hence the facelift does not address this.CNG mode is not as aggressive on the highway: The reviewers report a significant loss of power in CNG mode when overtaking rapidly on highways. Petrol mode remains smooth. If you drive for long periods of time frequently, remember this.CNG variants lose boot space: The 242 litre boot shrinks with the CNG cylinder fitted in the back. Tata has not given an exact litre figure for this facelift, so pack light if you choose a CNG variant.Comparing safety is not often discussed: The Tiago is rated 4 stars by Global NCAP. That's compared to the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios at 2-star on the older test and the Maruti WagonR at 1-star. If you're a frequent three-adults-in-the-back-seat driver or if you need a larger boot for extended family vacations, the WagonR or Grand i10 Nios might be more your style.The Pure+ A is the best value for money variant which is priced at around ₹6.50 lakh. It offers automatic climate control, push-button start, cruise control, and ESP, but doesn't push you into the top-spec Creative range.
