Next-Gen Hyundai Creta

New digital images have provided a glimpse of the next-generation Hyundai Creta which has been spotted in India testing on a number of spy shots. The renders are unofficial and should not be considered as production images. However, they give an idea of how Hyundai is preparing one of the largest updates in the Creta’s history.

A Bigger Platform Shift

The next generation Creta is said to be transitioning to Hyundai’s new K3 platform. The change will result in larger overall dimensions, greater cabin technology, and hybrid and electric powertrain support which is a huge improvement over the current ICE-only lineup.

What the Renders Show

The front end of the SUV has been completely redesigned with LED lighting in a pixel style, vertically positioned headlamps, and a significantly wider grille which makes the vehicle look more upright than the previous one. The back is fitted with connected LED lighting, and the sides feature sharper body lines, bigger wheel arches, and flush fitting door handles. The design elements are in line with the direction that Hyundai has been taking in its recent global launches, but the final production Creta may be different once officially revealed.

Confirmed by Spy Sightings

In addition to the renders, real test mule sightings of the next generation Creta and the current model have already confirmed that the new SUV will be significantly larger in reality. This confirms the platform change reports and indicates that Hyundai is making a true generational change and not just a facelift.

Launch Timeline

The next-generation Creta is expected to go on sale globally by late 2026, and in India by early 2027. The new Creta is expected to be a major feature of hybrid technology, making it more competitive with the hybrid models that are entering the segment. Hyundai has not confirmed any of the specifications or the exact launch date yet, so it is best to consider them as early expectations.
