👍 Things We Like

Massive 5.3 meters in front and 1.8 meters in height make it appear like a big truck that takes up the lane.
It comes with a shift-on-the-fly 4WD and high ground clearance (225mm) to take the off-road seriously.
The 1.9L diesel engine is reputed to be under-stressed and highly durable even when they are under long ownership.
The rear deck is ideal in the transportation of large equipment, bikes or camping gear that cannot be transported in a regular SUV.
The body is made of high-tensile steel and the chassis is strong and solid, which makes it feel solid and free of rattles.
New high-end models (Z Prestige) have 6 airbags and electronic stability controls.
It is the most popular vehicle in India for aftermarket modification such as lift kits and bull bars.

👎 Things We Don't Like

It is hard to park in the narrow city traffic or even in the malls due to its huge turning radius and length.
The rear leaf-spring suspension is intended to carry a load; when no weight is carried the rear will be pretty jumpy over rough roads.
The cabin layout and plastics used are old and utilitarian in comparison with other SUVs of the same price range in the modern world.
It is not always easy to locate an authorized service center when you are on the road in remote or Tier-3 locations.
